Who is Dawson "DK" Cram?

Like many other young racers today, Dawson Cram comes from a long family history of stock car racing. His Dad, Kevin Cram is a former crew chief in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series having worked with some of the greatest drivers in NASCAR including Bill Elliott, Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Ron Hornaday Jr. among others. Both of Dawson's grandfathers also raced stock cars for many years in the North East and in the South West. He also has 3 uncles who work directly in the sport of NASCAR and lend their support to his racing.

Dawson started racing in 2007 at the age of 5 in San Diego, CA in the Mini Dwarf Series on Southern California's dirt tracks. In 2009, his family relocated back to Mooresville, NC otherwise known as "Race City USA" where Dawson began his asphalt racing career in 2010 in the INEX Bandolero Beginner Bandits division. In his Rookie season he scored 13 feature wins and earned the Carolina Midget Series Midweek Mayhem Beginner Bandit Championship. He also holds the current track record at Langley Speedway in Virginia.

At the start of the 2011 season, Dawson has moved up into the INEX Bandolero Bandits division. He plans to compete in Bandits at several tracks across the United States. He will contend for the points championship at Concord Speedway, The Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Rockingham and the Winter Heat at Charlotte 1/5th mile and road course. He also plans to participate in annual events held at historic tracks such as Bowman Gray Stadium, Indianapolis and Langley Speedway. His main objective is to HAVE FUN RACING!!
